Subliminal Studio Privacy Policy

Your recordings stay on your device

Voice recordings, recording names, script notes, saved sessions and preferences are stored in the app's private storage on your Android device. We do not upload your voice recordings or script text. The app has no account, cloud sync, community sharing or advertising. Android app backup is disabled.

Permissions

Microphone access is used only to record when you start a recording. Notifications and media playback services provide playback controls while your screen is off. Background processing keeps your selected audio playing and stops it at your chosen sleep timer. Battery settings may need to allow unrestricted use for a screen-off timer.

Optional subscriptions

When billing is configured, Google Play processes purchases and RevenueCat verifies subscription access. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier, purchase and subscription information, and technical information needed to deliver its service. We do not receive your payment card details. No name, email or phone number is required to use the app. Purchase and restore operations require an internet connection.

Usage analytics

When analytics is configured, PostHog receives events such as app open, onboarding completion, recording/session creation, playback start, eight-hour playback and subscription activity, with anonymous identifiers and technical device/app information. We do not send recording contents, recording names or script notes. Analytics failure never blocks recording or playback. Enabled services are documented with each release.

Service providers

Data sent to service providers is encrypted in transit and may be processed outside your country. See RevenueCat's privacy policy, PostHog's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy. We do not sell your personal data.

Retention and deletion

You can delete saved sessions and recordings in the app. Delete sessions referencing a recording before deleting that recording. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes local recordings, sessions and preferences; this cannot be undone. Uninstalling does not cancel a subscription: cancel through Google Play Subscriptions. For requests concerning provider-held purchase/analytics data or support messages, contact support@hannelife.com. We retain support correspondence only as needed to address your request and comply with applicable obligations.

Children

This app is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
